The successful candidate will work with a dedicated and passionate team of technical professionals to design and develop next generation LED packaging structures. The ideal candidate will be able to bring expertise in semiconductor packaging field, provide out-of-the-box solutions for high brightness LED systems, while able to maintain a keen sense of manufacturability and cost.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop next generation LED packaging structures that integrate advanced optical, thermal, mechanical designs while being compatible with high volume manufacturing and achieving low cost.
- Work with a team of scientists, engineers and technicians to define and carry out projects and carry all the way through finish line.
- Need to summarize complex results into concise and crystal-clear reports and effectively communicate within the PD team and across the teams.
- Need to communicate with external industry experts and vendors to identify technical trend and leveraging external expertise.
- Drive deliverables and deadlines with predictable timeline.
- Document inventions and working with patent attorneys to create intellectual properties for companies.
- Be versatile, able to support other job junctions as needed, such as process development tasks. Willing to learn new things on the fly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BS with 5 years of industry experience or advanced degrees with 3 years in material sciences, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or chemistry major.
