Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 1 - 3 years

Provide direction for the specification, testing and qualification of packaging designs and processes. Develop new and improved packaging systems that meet or exceed all regulatory requirements for sterile medical device packaging. Assist with efforts to provide uniform solutions for international packaging operations. Use internal and external resources to provide solutions for new packaging process introductions, technology updates, quality improvements, and cost reductions.

1.Provide assistance to all manufacturing facilities for packaging operations, including testing protocols and validations.
2.Assist product engineering (Corporate and Czech) with appropriate packaging design.
3.Develop procedures for in-process package testing and inspections such as burst and integrity tests.
4.Troubleshoot processes and equipment in manufacturing.
5.Develop procedures to test finished packages for integrity such as package protection and shelf life.
6.Plan packaging projects to provide cost estimates, timelines, and targeted completion dates.
7.Maintain all Corporate SOPs in accordance with applicable external standards, e.g. ISO, EN.
8.Maintain Corporate dossier master file with respect to packaging design and manufacturing.
9.Assess packaging process performance using DOE and statistical analysis.
10.Assist with new manufacturing processes in support of new product developments; including but not limited to package sealing, and thermoforming.
11.Improve current manufacturing processes to support product revisions, yield improvement, ease of manufacturing and cost savings efforts.
12.Perform and document process validations or qualifications to support product revisions, yield improvement, ease of manufacturing, and cost savings efforts.
13.Perform and document package protection validations for new package configurations.
14.Document process developments and provide documentation for running processes in manufacturing.
15.Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflexs Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rule, procedures and standard housekeeping.

EDUCATION - Minimum level of education needed to perform duties.

BS in packaging engineering preferred

EXPERIENCE - Minimum experience needed, both inside and outside company, to perform duties.

A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in design, packaging, process automation, material flow, in a regulated environment (i.e. Medical, Pharmaceutical)

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS (Physical, Visual etc.)

Able to travel domestically and internationally
