| Maintenance Supervisor IN Open (J#30691) Title: Maintenance Supervisor Company: Career Transitions Description The Packaging Maintenance Supervisor plans and directs a 3-shift maintenance operation, under minimal direction of management, in a team-based filling and packaging production function. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager Daily Accountabilities Instills a safety discipline and a progressive attitude towards reducing or eliminating accidents within the workplace. Maintains high standards of cleanliness, neatness, and safety in the areaFollow all cGMP s SOP s, policies and procedures Provides direct supervision and training Line and Building Maintenance Technicians, to implement, maintain and improve machines, equipment and facility. Enforces work processes and standard operating procedures to guide and regulate production and facility maintenance.Maintain the effectiveness and timeliness of the preventative maintenance program for both packaging equipment and facility maintenance Establishes realistic work expectations, behavior and performance standards and a personal development plan for each employee, then coaches to those requirements. Ensures replacement parts are available in sufficient inventory to facilitate scheduled maintenance and projects. Audits maintenance documents for proper completion and provides corrective action as required.Provides a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production and achieving quality standards. Maintains all action register items and consistently meets deadlines with expected results Facilitates teamwork, cross training and collaboration between Production, Process Engineering and Quality, departments to troubleshoot and resolve production part and machine or equipment problems to maximize machine reliability RequirementsQualifications: At least 5 years experience with packaging Maintenance. Able to perform Responsibilities and Expectations to Supervisor satisfaction Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal Customer focused; Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization, and with work assignments/projects Must be capable of both creative thought and deductive reasoning Self-organized Self-motivated; Ability to work independent of supervision Team player; Participation on Plant Continuous Improvement (CI) Process Attendance is essential to job qualification. | |||
