Currently, Meijer is looking for a Package Development Manager who will be responsible for leading the execution of Own Brand packaging leading to Own Brand share growth across all super-center categories. As a Package Development Manager You Will: - Manage packaging specialists and engineer to effectively execute own brand packaging for Foods, Softlines, Hardlines, Drugstore, and Consumables - Manage the translation of the company's brand strategy into Own Brand package designs - Establish processes for packaging execution including artwork creation, pre-press, printing and management - Maintain domestic and international 3rd party vendor resource base and manage partnertships that provide creative and production design, pre-press, packaging substrates and printing - Provide printing and color management expertise to assure designs are executed to proper color standards for consistent on-shelf appearance - Develop and manage process timelines and annual budgets - Communicate Own Brand strategies and assure they are uphel - Build functional expertise within the team to operate cross-functionally To Be Considered For This Opportunity You MUST Possess: - Packaging and printing experience across a wide variety of categories - Ability to manage processes and drive solutions to packaging projects including production artwork execution, package designs, pre-press, print management, printing, logo & brand designs and copywriting - Excellent aptitude of graphic execution, pre-press and printing processes - Strong management, communication, organizational and problem solving skills - Proficient in leading meetings and making presentations - Knowledge and understanding of branding and key marketing principles - Technical, creative and business writing ability - 4 year University or College Degree - Minimum 5 years experience in packaging development and/or printing - Positive, high energy individual, who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
