| Packaging Engineer AL Open (J#30804) Title: Packaging Engineer Company: HealthTronics Description Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Job Function Description Engineer, Packaging Job Function Summary: This position is responsible for leading the effort to sustain and improve programs and activities associated with the life cycle of packaging equipment including equipment specification, engineering and qualification. This position will also provide technical support to packaging to improve equipment reliability. Essential Jobs: Engineer will provide engineering support for each of the pharmaceutical packaging facilities. Engineer should possess the ability to gain process specific knowledge of dispensing product into final containers including bottles, tubes, blister packs and cartons. Engineer will support continuous improvement of the packaging lines from conceptual development, to design, to fabrication, to implementation and testing. Engineer will support the specification and design of packaging components Engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines and departments to accomplish the objectives of the packaging department. Engineer will have the responsibility for troubleshooting equipment failures and documenting investigations related to packaging equipment. Engineer will drive equipment reliability improvements through the utilization of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) techniques. The engineer will also develop and own small equipment/process improvement projects and consult on larger capital projects for his/her assigned area. Engineer will facilitate reliability reviews of new equipment installed as part of capital projects and apply reliability tools and methods to minimize overall Life Cycle Cost of equipment. Engineer will support regulatory requirements which include change management, incident management, process safety management and equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) in a GMP environment.
