| Packaging Engineer CT Open (J#30770) Title: Packaging Engineer Company: Energizer External Description: Position Summary and Special Duties - Provide project feasibilities and costing for promotional and open stock packaging configurations. - Provide manufacturing support on implementation and manufacturing of packaging concept. - Coordinate with Mechanical engineering on new product, equipment and tool development programs. - Design and develop of promotional packs/co-packs. - Create and maintain packaging department control documents. - Stay current on latest developments in materials, equipment, and suppliers. - Works through Sr. Packaging Engineer for Sales/Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing and RD&E, to deliver quality and cost effective packaging proposals. - Provide technical recommendations on materials procurement as well as equipment for the Packaging department. - Optimize existing packaging processes and provide alternatives for lower cost of goods. - Identify and lead cost reducing opportunities by working closely with manufacturing and purchasing. - Be effective and practicing member of Kaizen teams within organization and practice and implement lean initiatives. - Maintain promotional display locations to promote design engineering for commercial business.
