| Packaging Engineer FL Open (J#30716) Title: Packaging Engineer Company: Lockheed Martin Corporation Description Summary: Develop and modify packaging line processes, methods and controls to meet quality standards. Recommend and implement improvements, modifications or additions which will document work; tests and solves problems. Review product demand requirements with product development compatibility of processing methods to determine costs and schedules. Conduct highly technical tests related to the operation of plant equipment and processes. Maintain and operate production equipment such as case erectors, fillers, labelers, or other plant specific operations. Perform production tests on operations such as innovation and improvements. Oversee and resolve day to day packaging and processing equipment problems. Responsibilities: Understand and apply TPM principles with particular emphasis on EEM and EM. Troubleshoot moderately complex technical and process problems that may arise with new or existing systems. Design, specify, purchase, and install equipment to satisfy production requirements. Coordinate with TIMQ on introduction of new products, the process development, pilot work, and the associated equipment issues involved. Create procedures for new products and review existing process procedures for improvement opportunities. Interact with plant engineers, corporate, chemist, management teams, and equipment improvement teams. Requirements Education BS or M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Experience 2-5 years of engineering experience Specific Training Should have knowledge of the operation of pumps, mixers, valves, and a working understanding of computers and electronics used in the process industry. Must have a thorough knowledge of product chemistry and manufacturing processes. | |||
