| Carrier Capacity Manager TN Open (J#21446) Title: Carrier Capacity Manager Company: Evergreen Packaging Job Description This role will have high visibility. The Manager will be responsible for transportation management, planning, and execution through a 4PL party including Full Truckload (FTL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and ocean modes. Responsibilities - Manages $60M in transportation freight spend, $40M domestic / $20M ocean - Manages carrier selection, lane assignment and routing determination - Achieves high service levels at appropriate rates - Drives contract negotiations; conducts RFP process by mode, creates bid packages, analyzes results, negotiates rates, recommends lane awards, and finalizes contracts - Monitors carrier performance and takes corrective action as appropriate - Troubleshoots and resolves daily transportation issues as necessary - Leads quarterly business review meetings with 4PL and transportation vendors - Develops appropriate reports to effectively monitor and measure carrier performance and make recommendations to positively impact costs and service - Manages all customs and logistics activities related to exportations through 3PL and 4PL - Manages relevant systems and data to achieve accurate and timely payments to carriers More... | |||
