Packaging Engineer IL Open (J#30692) Title: Packaging Engineer Company: ESPO Engineering Corp Description Title: Packaging Engineer / Customer Project Manager / Pharmaceutical Industry. Location: Rockford, IL Duration: Permanent full time CUSTOMER PROJECT MANAGER / PACKAGING ENGINEER / PHARMACEUTICAL: Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Strongly prefer Packaging Engineering Degree. Universities specializing in Packaging Engineering include: Mich. State, UW Stout and Clemson. Summary Plans, directs, & coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals & objectives of projects are accomplished w/in prescribed time frame. Lead & play an integral part in individual project success & provide Co. a competitive advantage in long-term customer mgmt. If required, act as Clinical Trials Liaison between Co. & Client. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Quotations & Package Development Engineering: Develop requests for quotation & proposals in support of Co. sales activities. Perform capacity analysis Packaging prototype development & sample making. Project Mgmt: Accountable for overall project mgmt. Customer Project Team Leader for customer projects. Assigned role as primary customer contact. Responsible for customer expectation mgmt. Review & approve internal customer-based specifications for packaging components & processes. Manage customer supply agreements/contracts during project development & into commercial production. Assist w/ packaging engineering functions in the areas of design & specification mgmt. Manage customer project time lines during development activities. On-Going Business Mgmt: Primary customer contact for business & relationship issues. Manage short-term & long-term customer forecasts. Quarterly customer meetings/business reviews: -accountable for meeting success -develop agenda -coordinate meeting details with customer & Co. internal -lead the organization in detail preparation -lead meetings -insure professional follow-up on all open Competencies. Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
