| Packaging Engineer MI Open (J#30728) Title: Packaging Engineer Company: International Paper Job Description Packaging Engineer Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company located West of Atlanta is looking for a Packaging Engineer for their plant. Specific Job Duties: - As a member of the Facilities Engineering Department, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction to the department s customers. - Support daily production activities as it relates to packaging concerns. - Take direction from the Packaging Engineer to assist in defining customer/internal needs and expectations for all packaging. - Ensure all packaging meets all customer and company requirements for synchronous manufacturing, ergonomics, environmental and safety standards. - Maintain an up-to-date open issues tracking report and provide reports, presentations and updates as required. - Work with different manufacturing departments to develop appropriate packaging for large and small components and support validation of supplier packaging - Participate in team activities as required for the successful execution of required action plans for all packaging projects. - Support all packaging trails in accordance with customer/internal guidelines. - Assist in maintaining all customer specific packaging information: packaging specifications, approved vendor lists, approved materials lists, container/packaging data sheets, approval forms and other related documents. - Support the review and approval of all Tier II component packaging concepts and prototypes by verifying that a defect free component can be delivered in the most cost-effective manner. - Work with different teams to eliminate handling damage associated with packaging or racking issues. - Participate in the training of production team members during program launches as required.
