TRG is seeking a talented Packaging Engineer to join the corporate packaging design efforts for an industry-leading manufacturer of consumer-packaged goods. This large privately held manufacturer is in the middle of the most successful two year period in their almost 90 year history. This unique business comes to market through a number of different retail channels, such as department stores, grocery stores, drug stores, 70,000 specialty shops, and 40 company-owned retail locations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who will get excited by the kinds of opportunities and challenges that come with working for a fast-paced, multi-channel, seasonal, high SKU CPG business.

This role will be responsible for the design, modification and specifications of all packaging components used for new and updated product offerings. With more than 5000 active SKU's, this highly visible role will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on this company through new product design and cost saving projects involving the redesign of existing packaging components. The ideal candidate for this role is a degreed Packaging Engineer (BS in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other packaging specific degree program) with eight or more years of package design experience for a consumer packaged goods manufacturer.

Background Requirements:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science or Mechanical Engineering (or other packaging specific degree program) required, along with 8 years of package design experience for consumer packaged goods (CPG); food products packaging would be a plus - Experience managing and completing multiple projects simultaneously - Solid computer skills; including design software AutoCAD or TOPS, and Word and Excel proficiency required - Excellent communication, with proven prioritization and customer management skills.
