| Senior Production Artist Packaging FL Open (J#31023) Title: Senior Production Artist Packaging Company: Qualified Creatives Job Description: Growing Boca Raton, Florida creative agency seeks a talented production artist/graphic designer on a freelance to full-time basis. You should have a strong design eye, a keen attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of technical aspects of the production process especially with regard to packaging. We are: A full-service design firm with clients in many different industries and projects covering collateral to packaging to digital/interactive media. A collaborative culture in which you will play critical role in the success of the agency Qualifications/Skills: The core duties of the position are making mechanicals of creative provided by our creative team and making them print ready. Having an eye for design aesthetics is required, however, this is strictly a production position. - Production experience with a very wide assortment of print projects including but not limited to POP, Packaging, Direct Mail, Catalogs, Print Ads, Billboards and Posters - Previous package production experience a HUGE PLUS - Proficient at making physical mock ups of various creative pieces - Prepare mechanicals of creative that is approved by the creative team and the Client for release - Working knowledge of desktop publishing in Mac based environment, including the following CS5 graphic applications: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign - Comprehensive prepress knowledge (CMYK, spots, trapping, etc.) - Experience with the printing process including various press types gained by attending packaging press runs of paper, foil, metal, or other substrates - Ability to comprehend and follow complex instructions - Superior attention to detail and accuracy - Occasionally perform basic retouching - Ability to organize and maintain production files with minimal supervision - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline intensive atmosphere - Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - Excellent organizational, verbal, written, interpersonal and time management skills, gained through experience in an agency setting - Flexible team player, willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and meet deadlines. - Background in package design/development, as might be gained through hands-on experience in creating packaging concepts a plus - A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Please Provide: Resume Cover letter Salary requirements Samples of your portfolio or an online link for consideration References About the Company: Qualified Creatives offers a free, secure and confidential online source to review "real" freelance and fulltime employment opportunities for top advertising and marketing specialists.
